Ted Forte is an amateur astronomer who is devoted to public outreach and astronomy education. He retired from U.S. Navy in 1989 and retired as a civilian Navy contractor in 2012. He currently resides in Sierra Vista Arizona, where he is a member of a local astronomy club and a volunteer operator at a nearby observatory. He enjoys the night sky from his home observatory outside of town.
