Lisa Brown is currently an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University teaching pre-service teachers. For almost eight years she was an NASA contractor for the Aerospace Education Specialist at Oklahoma State University and Penn State University and was assigned to the Educational Programs Office at NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, California and NASA Johnson Space Center at Houston, Texas. She was responsible for conducting workshops for teachers and administrators in schools, colleges, and universities, as well as providing lecture demonstration programs for students.|Lisa earned her Doctorate at Oklahoma State University in Applied Studies in Aviation and Space Science Education, a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. She holds a Texas Composite Science Teaching Certificate for grades 6-12.|She taught Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Astronomy, and Aquatic Science to at-risk middle and high school students in Alief, Texas who were placed at the school for behavior problems. She also served as the Science Department Chairman for the school.|
