Maajida L.C. Murdock is a passionate STEM educator and advocate dedicated to inspiring curiosity and expanding access to science education for learners of all ages. Her lifelong fascination with physics and space science began at age twelve when she first looked through a telescope. This experience sparked her commitment to sharing the wonder of scientific discovery with others. She holds bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Morgan State University, a Master of Science in Physics from the University of North Dakota, and a Master of Science in Mathematics Education from Towson University. Maajida currently serves as Director of STEM Education at Al-Rahmah School and an adjunct lecturer in Physics at Morgan State University. She is also a STEM Ambassador for the Maryland Out-of-School Time Network, an advisor to private schools and after-school programs throughout the Baltimore area, and a facilitator and trainer for STEM education initiatives. Through her work in teaching, educational leadership, and community outreach, Maajida strives to make STEM education engaging, accessible, and meaningful while inspiring the next generation of scientists, innovators, and lifelong learners.
