David Wexler is a graduate of Stanford Medical School. After specialty training as an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon, he served on active duty as a medical officer in the U.S. Air Force and trained at the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine. He works at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts and maintains an academic appointment at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Although interested in astronomy and the space program since an early age, it was only in recent years he returned to the study of space and physics. He recently completed the Master of Astronomy degree program through James Cook University and a radio telescope course at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. David serves on the Board of Directors for the Springfield Stars Club, and is also active with the Aldrich Astronomical Society.
