John Panagos enjoys studying astronomy and practicing observational astronomy. He is also interested in the related space sciences and the interdisciplinary approaches necessary for piecing together the best current understanding of our universe. He appreciates opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of adults who share this interest from world-class experts to beginners for the purpose of offering the finest quality instruction and experiences to all children at the elementary level. John feels fortunate to live in the San Francisco Bay area, a historically rich science and astronomy region. Because of the fine institutional opportunities available there, he has had a wealth of astronomy related experiences and has met many extraordinary people along the way. John is now interested in not only continuing his study and outreach work, but also participating in the national discussion on improving elementary science education for the future.
