Pamela Lewis is an amateur astronomer with a M.S. Degree in Astronomy. She has been educating the public for more than 50 years. She enjoys hosting star parties for adults and children at schools or any location that takes her telescope out for large groups or just a few neighbors and with her husband, Walter Lewis who is also a NASA Solar Ambassador. She participates with her husband in NASM, Project Astro, USO, NOVAC, NASA CITIZEN SCIENCE, GIRLS & BOYS SCOUTS, etc. Pamela feels it is very important to inspire the youth of today for tomorrow so they may have the opportunity to be future astronauts, engineers, astronomers or their dreams and was inspired by NASA at six years old and also by Christa McAuliffe, Challenger Teacher. Pamela carries her teaching mission to the public. She is also a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol. NASA's educational websites and materials are so important for everyone as we all reach for the stars.
