Kelley Miller
Kelley Miller, CPLP, is a 7th generation native Texan whose ancestor, George W. Terrell, was a prominent figure during the early days of the Republic. Not only does the lone star in the Texas flag bring pride in her home state, but it reminds her of the stars that shine big and bright over her backyard. Kelley is an amateur astronomer who enjoys visual observing through a wide variety of telescopes and binoculars. She currently serves as the Librarian for the Texas Astronomical Society and participates in a number of public star parties and other events sponsored by the club. She is a passionate NASA armchair astronaut, having witnessed several space shuttle launches from Florida. She also has a collection of NASA lapel pins that includes one logo pin for every manned space mission from the Mercury program to the latest space station missions. Outside of her astronomy and space endeavors, Kelley actively volunteers for a service organization that raises millions of dollars each year for charity. Kelley is a workplace learning professional specializing in web-based course development. She received a B.M. in Piano Pedagogy from Southern Methodist University and a M.S. in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University.
