Shawn D. Bayle started his lifelong passion for astronomy and space exploration with the arrival of his first telescope at age ten. From there, he became President of his high school astronomy club and in college took a concentration of classes in quantum physics to compliment his BS Electrical Engineering degree. His undergraduate project in robotics won him a position at Boston University's Laboratory for Sensory Robotics where he designed and implemented a stereoscopic vision system for autonomous robots.
