Lyford Rome has a passion for both space exploration and education. He believes the best way to engage people is to integrate the themes of planetary science with the arts and humanities. His work developing educational resources has given him insight into engaging our innate fascination and wonder. His presentations and events incorporate history, art, humor, and pop culture as well as the latest science from NASA's planetary missions. Lyford has recently retired after 35 years of teaching and has participated in Solar System Ambassador events all over Los Angeles and San Diego counties.
