Leonard Duda, PhD, is a staff member at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM in the Fielded Systems Engineering Department. Len has been at Sandia National Laboratories for over 35 years working in many different scientific and engineering areas. Outside of his day job, Len has been involved with volunteer science education activities for over 25 years including a volunteer NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, an event supervisor for the regional and state Science Olympiad, and master judge chair at the regional science fair. He is a Grand Awards judge co-chair at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and a member of the Judging Advisory Committee for ISEF. Recently, he was the chair of the host committee for the Association of Science-Technology Centers conference in Albuquerque in October 2013. Len is currently on the board of Directors of the Explora Science Center in Albuquerque and has served two terms as board president in the last ten years.
