Joe Bruce received a BA in Education with a focus on Science from Central Washington University in 1981. He is involved in community service in Spokane. He is an educator, lecturer and artist who offers programs in Washington, Idaho and most recently Guatemala, Central America. Joe has visited several NASA centers around the county and been present for four Space Shuttle launches. Some of his artwork has been flown to the International Space Station. Joe visited Space Shuttle Endeavour when it was under construction. He toured the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center. On two occasions he was able to volunteer at Explore JPL. “By sparking an interest in Mathematics and Science we never know where a child might go. They might go on to be the next Sally Ride, the next Neil Armstrong or make a discovery that benefits all humankind.”
