John Adams Hodge has had a lifelong interest in astronomy and planetary science. He is a geologist, environmental and aviation lawyer, retired airline pilot, and has served as a part-time professor. John resides in Columbia, SC. John is also a partner in an astronomical observatory near Bethune, SC where he enjoys deep sky and planetary imaging, and John is a prolific variable star observer. He has extensive experience as a speaker and enjoys teaching technical topics to lay persons. He is comfortable speaking or teaching, whether it be to a graduate level class or an elementary school group.
