Jerry Hilburn is an active member of the San Diego Astronomy Association. In addition to his public speaking role as a NASA/JPL Ambassador he also works with teachers and students to create and publish astrometry research papers in the Journal of Double Star Observations. Jerry maintains a research observatory east of San Diego, California where he collects data for asteroid, double star, and variable star studies. Jerry enjoys public outreach and host free star party events for non profit organizations, schools, and clubs throughout the Golden State.
