Jim Head has been active in Astronomy Outreach since 2004, coordinating astronomy nights, classroom presentations, and activities for K-12 children and the general public. Activities include demonstrations and lessons about JPL's missions in space, which have a long history of surprising us with fascinating discoveries in our Solar System and beyond. He also incorporates scientist-tested activities from the NASA Night Sky Network program and Project Astro from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. Astronomy nights and starparties are organized through the The Northwoods Explorers of Space and Astronomy, an astronomy club in Minocqua, Wisconsin.
