Being inspired to pursue a life in science by a high school teacher ten years ago has led me along a very interesting path. Starting in college I picked Physics as the degree I wanted, but finding the mathematics involved in physics research a little too tricky I re-thought my life's plan. I conducted research in planetary geology at the University of North Dakota department of Geology. My work involved characterizing the mineralogy of NWA3133 a very unique chondrite meteorite. After the research I moved to southern California and taught 8 years at Astrocamp in Idyllwild. Returning to North Dakota in 2015 I began teaching a community education course in beginning astronomy. As you can guess I like astronomy and own a number of telescopes, built and maintained several observatories and belong to numerous societies dedicated to promoting space and astronomy events.
