Solar System Ambassadors
William Mowry

Seth Mowry's fascination with space began when he was around six or seven years old and received a book about the solar system as a gift. Fed by data from probes, imagery from telescopes, or feats of human exploratory ingenuity, he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Virginia in hopes of helping to build spacecraft. He spent five years as a civilian engineer with the US Army and earned a Masters of Engineering in mechanical and aerospace engineering at UVA. Eventually, he finally returned to space exploration by pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics at George Mason University researching the physics of the interstellar medium.
Seth sees space exploration as inhabiting a special place where science, engineering, creativity, history, philosophy, hope, courage, and wonder come together to provide the potential to make things better for everyone. He seeks to share this passion for space with others in hopes of inspiring young explorers and encourage life-long learning--to pass on that sense of fascination and awe given to a seven-year-old as a gift.
