My infatuation with astronomy began at the age of 12 when my father and I observed comet Hale-Bopp from our home in Buxton, ME. I love telescopes! I once owned 10 refractors from 60mm to 140mm all at the same time. The ability to view the stars, planets, nebulae, galaxies, comets, and various deep sky objects is breathtaking. I love sharing my enthusiasm for astronomy and telescopes with others and enjoy the conversations that come with a pristine evening under the stars. Currently, I am managing the outreach program for the Phoenix Astronomical Society in Arizona, and last year I attended 29 outreach events educating thousands of people.
