Gordon McCulloh is a captain in the United States Space Force. He graduated from the Air Force Academy with degrees in astronautical engineering and applied math. Gordon is currently a flight test engineer at the Central Inertial Guidance Test Facility (CIGTF) at Holloman Air Force Base. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and has over 150 flying hours in 25 different aircraft. Originally from Maine, Gordon discovered his passion for outer space at a young age, spending his nights outdoors with a 50mm refractor telescope. This inspired him to pursue a STEM education that ultimately led to a Masters in astronautical engineering from the University of Washington studying next-generation electric propulsion methods. Gordon researched inductive pulsed plasma thrusters, which could prove to be an enabling technology for transportation across the Solar System. Beyond life as an aerospace engineer, Gordon is an avid reader, chess player, and backpacker. He studied Arabic for four years and likes to ski.
