Randii Wessen
Randii Wessen has a passion for space exploration, scientific inquiry, meeting new people and communicating the excitement of exploration. He has worked on most major US planetary missions starting with Voyager and going all the way to the Cassini Mission to Saturn. He has developed a number of innovative approaches for helping projects and programs achieve their goals. He co-developed the Cassini Resource Exchange for controlling science instrument's development costs; he evolved the Concept Maturity Level scale to help evaluate the feasibility of mission concepts; and applied the Data, Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom framework to understand what proposals an organization should write to provide the greatest societal benefits. When he's not developing advanced mission concepts, he consults in the entertainment field to improve the science portrayed in movies and television. He also has a passion for public speaking. His talks are focused on the future of US robotic space exploration and have been given both nationally and internationally. Finally, he enjoys going on adventures with his family and collecting historic books, science artifacts, and friends.
