William Faulkner
William Faulkner is an evaluation consultant with experience researching and guiding complex social innovations. He works domestically as in New Orleans and internationally (primarily Latin America/Caribbean, Lusophone and Anglophone Africa), focusing on the impact of advocacy campaigns, agriculture research and development, and extractive industries' corporate social responsibility. His passion for space began young with 1990s missions such as Galileo and Cassini, but truly blossomed when overlaid with thinking about the delicacy of humanity’s place in the universe. To him, planetary defense (finding asteroids before they find us) combines the exoticism and technical challenges of space exploration, the practicality of creating tools that prevent massive harm, and the awe that humans could [hopefully soon] be capable of crossing a real existential threat off the list! His Interests include systems thinking, complexity theory, existential risks, adult learning, idea dissemination, integration of technology in research.
