Tamika Gaskins works for the Prince George's County Memorial Library System as a Library Associate. She has worked in the library system for over seventeen years. She takes her job seriously as a community public servant. It is her job to make sure customers get what they need and if she cannot help them, she does her best to connect them to someone on staff or outside the library that can help them. She loves doing STEAM programs and attend many webinars and training throughout the years involving the topic. At the Largo-Kettering branch, the staff work hard to maintain their knowledge about space. They read about space, take courses, attend training and webinars, or email an expert if the staff have a question or need help. The library has a space passport to track children's participation in space-themed library events.
