Louis Wasson has been interested in astronomy and manned spaceflight his entire life. One of his earliest childhood memories was of him and his St. Bernard, Lady, lying on the ground and looking up at the night sky for hours and just being in awe. He wants to share that passion and awe with others. He has a B.S. degree in Geography and a M.S. degree in Climatology both from Mississippi State University. Currently, he is an Extension Specialist in Unmanned Aerial Systems for the Geosystems Research Institute at Mississippi State. The primary focus is on agriculture, natural resources and educating the public. One of his greatest pleasures is teaching STEM principles in K-12 education.
