Jason Staggs
Dr. Jason Staggs is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Tulsa as well as a cybersecurity expert with a passion for astronomy and space exploration. As an avid amateur radio operator, Dr. Staggs enjoys bouncing radio signals off the ionosphere to communicate with hams in remote locations. Dr. Staggs has deployed with the National Science Foundation’s United States Antarctica Program (USAP) to support scientific research expeditions at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Additionally, Dr. Staggs has served as a space engineer and medical officer while working as an analog astronaut in the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (HI-SEAS) atop the Mauna Loa Volcano on the island of Hawaii.
