Sigfried was born in Orlando, Florida and has lived all over the United States. He's been drawn into space related topics his entire life and this love and enthusiasm drove him to earn a B.S. in Engineering Physics and M.Eng. in Satellite Systems Engineering. Throughout his education and in the ensuing years, Sigfried has consistently been in an educational role focusing on teaching about space related topics at places. He's volunteered as an educator at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in the Space Odyssey exhibit, as a camp counselor at Physics and Flight Camp teaching middle and high schoolers about aerospace technologies, and as a tutor. He worked as a Satellite Systems Engineer with Lockheed Martin for 5+ years and started with Space Telescope Science Institute in 2023 working on the Hubble, JWST, and Roman spacecraft. Outside of these occupations, Sigfried has many joys! He's a classically trained bass singer and performs with several choirs in the DC metro area. Sigfried has been to all 50 states and continues to travel throughout the world. He enjoys cooking and his friends enjoy eating. And whenever he has a chance to, Sigfried likes going on long walks and long hikes.
