Solar System Ambassadors
David Johnston
David has been an astronomy and space science fan since he first stumbled on a kid-oriented astronomy book in his elementary school's bookmobile. His parents bought him his first scope whose mount was promptly eaten by his family's West Highland White Terrier, Casey. Undeterred, David continued to explore the night sky with his trusty reflector cradled in his arms. After brief-ish careers in restaurant management and network administration, David began working with non-profits to teach kids science, math, and engineering. Finally, in the summer of 2020, David took up astrophotography. He has used his equipment to produce mounds of terrible pictures and a few good ones.
