Karen Horvath
Karen Horvath received her BS in Computer Science from Penn State University. She worked for 15 years as a contractor for NOAA/NESDIS collecting satellite data in support of ozone hole research. She also developed and implemented data display processes for the National Hurricane Center. Karen was PTA Vice President and President at a local elementary school. While there, she coordinated yearly Science Fairs, which included over a hundred student participants, STEM booths and local STEM speakers. She lives in Northern Virginia and enjoys touring the Smithsonian Air and Space Museums and Goddard Space Flight Center among other local venues.
