Dave Hagarty
Dave Hagarty spent 44 years in the networking and computer industry, doing network design and management. He started out at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Centers maintaining their computer terminals. When he left 14 years later, he was the manager of the networking team that installed the first medical centers wide network. Always living on the bleeding edge of technology, Dave was able to be involved in the early deployment of CAT-5 cabling, fiber optics and wireless networks. After that, he spent about 5.5 years at a major software development company as a Senior Network Engineer. He was responsible for the network design in all new buildings as well as upgrade the company-wide backbone and existing networks. He was involved in building one of the very first streaming media networks utilizing LAN-wide network streaming protocols and hardware. Dave then went on to work at several software startup companies until he finally retired in 2022.
