Solar System Ambassadors
Kevin Reina
Kevin Reina is a high school science teacher in Livonia, Michigan. He teaches biology and astronomy, and uses that platform to blend the two disciplines, challenging students to think about astrobiology. Kevin has loved observational astronomy since the 5th grade when he got his first telescope for Christmas. He enjoys both solar system and deep sky observations, and after all these years is still in awe every time he sees Saturn or the moons of Jupiter through the scope. Kevin is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hiking and backpacking with his wife, three boys, and the family dog. He enjoys sharing his stargazing knowledge with others, and especially with his family. As much as he appreciates the technology, he still loves to test his skills finding astronomical objects by memory. Kevin loves to spend clear nights scanning the skies in various locations throughout Michigan.
