Aaron Yoon is excited to be sharing his enthusiasm and passion for space and astronomy with his neighbors in community. Creating opportunity and excitement will be a primary focus as we work to promote astronomy and highlight outreach efforts with diverse communities. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, with frequent time in Suwon, South Korea, Aaron has a passion for understanding the latest discoveries, exciting others about astronomy, and finding peace and amazement in stargazing and planetary imaging with his telescopes. Graduating from Seattle University in Economics, Aaron's professional career has featured a decade of work in the finance and tech fields. His passion for community engagement has led to nonprofit work in the employment field for homeless young adults and refugees in South Seattle. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys mountaineering, adventuring with his pup, bicycling, local performing arts, supporting Seattle sports, and watching songbirds on his patio.
