Ana Bucki Lopez was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and was raised in Europe and later, the United States. She has a B.S. in Astrophysics from Ohio University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Natural Science Education from Colorado State University. She works for the National Space Science Institute as a scientist educator for the Mobile Earth and Space Observatory, a science center on wheels that services the Colorado area.
