Miles Mercier, is an Alumni from Eastern Michigan University, with a Bachelor's degree in physics and a minor in astronomy. He served as President of the Astronomy Club at EMU and the of the Society of Physics Students. Miles worked very closely with the Department of Physics and Astronomy to helped run and maintain both the Sherzer Observatory and the EMU Planetarium. He has also put in place open observing nights to the community of Ypsilanti, where he observes and teaches the community how to navigate the the night sky and how to operate various kinds of telescopes.
