Allison Tewksbury is a recent University of Connecticut who now works as a space systems engineer at an aerospace company, primarily supporting the Extravehicular Mobility Unit -EMU- program. She has worked on a variety of NASA programs/initiatives including the development of a reduced gravity offload system for astronaut training using a drone and weather balloon. She is also a Phi Sigma Rho alumna, a sorority for women in engineering and engineering technology, which has given her a network to learn and grow with. When she is not supporting our legacy spacesuit program, she is volunteering with work-related outreach initiatives and taking part in a Technical Accelerator Mentorship program. She loves to volunteer for a variety of activities especially if it involves a trip to UConn to talk to current students about their career in the space industry.
