Dr. James Duke is a U.S. Navy Veteran who went on to work for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller/Manager until his retirement. He is a private pilot, earning multiple licenses including single engine, multi-engine, and commercial instruments. He has more than 8,000 logged airtime hours. He has performed in air shows throughout the country for over 20 years. He has built and restored many aircraft, including vintage airplanes and military aircraft. His education includes a degree from Harvard, finishing with a PhD in Aerospace Science from the University of North Dakota. James has worked with youth groups throughout his career, encouraging young people to pursue aviation careers. He is currently assisting with college student courses in Aerospace.
