Michael Davis
Michael Davis is a long-time astronomy buff and budding astrophotographer. When he is not looking at the night sky, Mr. Davis is a rail industry consultant with a global engineering services firm. He is married and has three adult children. Mr. Davis began his astronomy hobby as a boy in Florida, watching the Apollo missions from his home and exploring the sky with a telescope he received for Christmas...and still has today. He branched out into astrophotography in late 2020, when he wanted to take pictures of the close conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn but didn’t know how. After a period of intense learning, equipment purchasing, and practice, he now is more than capable of taking very nice images of nebulae, galaxies, and other deep-sky objects. He loves to share his work with his friends and family who very patiently listen to him explain what they’re looking at. Beyond his interests in astronomy, Mr. Davis plays soccer, enjoys hiking and camping, works in his yard, and loves to spend time with his family. Mr. Davis and his wife reside in Denton County, Texas.
