Alyssa is a bold public relations and communications professional from Tampa with a cross-disciplinary background in astronomy, astrophysics, and innovation. She is driven by the mysteries of the universe and the progress of space exploration. Her mission is to bridge the gap between technology, STEM, and communications. She has extensive strategic communication skills in public relations planning and execution, particularly in the space and defense industry. She aims to use her passion for astronomy and storytelling to inspire a new space age. She has loved astronomy from a young age and incorporates it into all that she does. In 2022, she graduated from The University of Florida with a BS in Public Relations and dual minors in Astronomy & Astrophysics and Innovation. During this time, she studied astronomy and communications inside and outside of the classroom. As the President and Public Relations Ambassador of the Astronomy and Astrophysics Society, she studied the universe with a diverse group of STEM enthusiasts and inspired new ones. This reinforced her mission to make space for everyone and change the world with astronomy. She is so excited to unravel mysteries and drive scientific advancement with audiences.
