Lisa Werner serves as Band Director at St. Bruno Parish School in Dousman, Wisconsin and Senior Symphony Orchestra Manager with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has an instrumental music education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a masters degree in conducting from the American Band College through Southern Oregon University. Lisa enjoys performing in jazz ensembles and local pit orchestras. Mrs. Werner is a National Board Certified teacher, and is also certified by National Geographic and as a Google Educator. Lisa is constantly looking for new ways to connect music to other content areas for the students in her classroom. In May 2022, she had the unique opportunity to fly experiments that she and her students designed on a parabolic research flight. She has presented at the Space Exploration Educators Conference (SEEC), SPACE Conference at Kennedy Space Center, Space Symposium, and LiftOff program. Lisa firmly believes that there is nothing better than making connections between the interests of others and pushing the boundaries of out-of-the-box thinking, after all, isn't that what is meant by 'Dare Mighty Things'?
