Ashley Turner received her BS in Geology from the College of Charleston where she conducted research in geochemistry, studied abroad in India and the Galapagos Islands, as well as participating in the 2017 NASA Solar Eclipse Ballooning Initiative. After graduation, Ashley interned with the National Park Service in Atlanta, Georgia where she led a hydrology-based citizen science program. In 2019, Ashley began working as a Hydrologic Technician for the US Geological Survey in Charleston. Her passion for science communication led her back to NASA and she began also working for South Carolina Space Grant as an Outreach Coordinator. Ashley strives to make Earth and Space science accessible for everyone.
