John Combs was born and raised in Vallejo, California, and currently resides in Folsom. An avid lover of the cosmos since the age of 5, he jumped into a career in social media & community management during college primarily working for companies that developed entertainment products based on space exploration (video games and books). After 15 years of enabling people online get more interested in space through fictional entertainment mediums, he now wants to take things a step further. He's since made a shift into utilizing his social media presence to spread more awareness about the real strides humanity has been making in space exploration. His particular interests include getting back to the moon via the Artemis program, sending humans to Mars for the first time, learning more about the Solar System's most distant planets & moons, and even learning about what's beyond via the many planned James Webb Telescope experiments. We're going to learn so much in our generation, but John wants to help set us up for the future by ensuring that the next generation and generations to follow have all the tools they need to wrap up answers to the questions that we might just not be able to figure out yet. For this reason, much of his early work in the Solar System Ambassador program will be focused around children's educational ventures to help ensure that the kids of today can become the NASA rockstars of tomorrow.
