Joe Dermody has been an avid amateur astronomer, photographer and space-flight enthusiast for 55 years and counting. He is a veteran of eight total solar eclipses and is planning continuously for future solar and lunar eclipses. He enjoys visiting observatories and archaeoastronomy sites worldwide. His other interests include classical music performance, sailing and electronics. He divides his time between Southwest Michigan (May to November) and Southwest Florida (November to May).
