Elysia Segal
Elysia Segal is a performer, writer, STEAM educator. She currently works as the Producer of Public Programs at the Intrepid Museum in New York City where she brings the history of the ship to life through theatrical presentations, demonstrations, planetarium shows, and live virtual programming. She is also the host of the space news roundup show "This Week in Spaceflight" on NASA Spaceflight (NSF). She has previously created immersive work at a number of cultural institutions across the country and has a passion for highlighting the stories of underrepresented women in history and science. Elysia holds an MA in Museum Studies from CUNY SPS and a BFA in Drama from NYU. She currently serves as the President of the International Museum Theatre Alliance and is certified through the National Association for Interpretation. Fun fact: main-belt asteroid 17795 Elysiasegal [1998 FJ61] was named in her honor!
