Nikkita Starr was born and raised in North Dakota. While in middle school, she remembers having had the opportunity to learn about constellations and the night sky in a portable planetarium, and has been fascinated with space ever since. While her life may not have led her to a career in space study, she still educates those around her about space whenever given the chance. She often visits her family in Houston, Texas, and makes sure to spend time at the Johnson Space Center every time, because there is always more to learn.
