From a young age, Rosa Montanez has had a love for Astronomy.  She was in awe of astronauts and our Solar System. She never lost her love for Astronomy. Now, she reads scientific journals about space exploration, articles about the latest discoveries, stories of NASA projects, and even attends starlight festivals, star parties, and lectures.  She applied for for NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) and started to cry when she was accepted. She completed the program and was accepted to the second phase for the NASA career simulation. The experience made her realize that there is a place for anyone who has a love for STEM at NASA. Even though she is a business major, the experience has reinvigorated her love for science and her path now is to pursue a degree in Computer Science and reach for the stars. Her hope is to encourage others to do the same, to fuel the fire of any tiny heart, and meet it with as much enthusiasm as they have.
