John Herman
John Herman is the Adult Programs Manager at MOAS, having been with the institution for five years. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, he has an undergraduate degree from Emrby-Riddle Aeronautical University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on space flight operations and human factors. After graduating he continued his education at University of Central Florida, where he received a Master's in Digital Media. John has a long history with spaceflight, training under Project PoSSUM to become a Citizen-Scientist Astronaut Candidate, working in the Embry-Riddle Space Suit Laboratory, and "living on Mars" during an analog mission to Utah's Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS). John's passion for life sciences has led him down a path studying marine sciences, where his main focus has been on conservation of coral reefs and mangrove forests.
