Frontis Ergle
1st Lt Frontis “Jud” Ergle III was born in the birthplace of aviation, Dayton, Ohio to an Air Force Officer who worked in the Aerospace Medical Research Labs at Wright-Patterson AFB. Growing up, Capt Ergle spent time with his dad going to numerous airshows, NASA Space Centers and museums related to aviation and he developed his dad’s passion for all things Aerospace. Capt Ergle is currently the Squadron Commander of the Alvin Callender Composite Squadron in New Orleans and the Director of Aerospace Education for the Louisiana Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. Capt Ergle has earned the Civil Air Patrol’s Chuck Yeager Aerospace Award, the Scott Crossfield Aerospace Award, a Master Rating in Aerospace Education and his squadron earns the Aerospace Excellence Award annually. Capt Ergle teaches Aerospace Education in Squadron meetings, Wing Conferences, Wing Training Academy’s and for home school groups and loves bringing the World of Aerospace to children and teens and informing them how they can be a part of the expanding Aerospace world. Capt Ergle’s favorite era of Space Exploration is the Mercury program and enjoys sharing the Mercury Program's Story and telling the amazing stories of the Mercury Astronauts.
