Brian studied computer science at Cal State University San Bernardino before taking a job as a computer technician and network engineer. Six years later he started his own company which provided business to business hardware and networking support. After closing the business in 2008, Brian realized his lifelong dream of becoming an EMT firefighter and served seven years as a paid call firefighter with San Bernardino County. During this time, he taught fire science and firefighter skills and coordinated both the paid-call and fire explorer programs in Hesperia, California. Brian also held the position of instructional specialist at a skills training center in Riverside, California. He taught electronics and microcontroller programming until the company closed in March of 2020. He is currently a freelance educator and produces electronic and science content for an online school. Brian is an avid amateur astronomer and astrophotographer who enjoys sharing the wonders of the night sky with others. He is active with Riverside Astronomical Society in Riverside, California and Central Coast Astronomical Society in San Luis Obispo, California.
