Montoya Barker currently serves as a Special Collections Librarian in Indiana. An advocate for library programming topics focused on cultural experiences, history, travel, and society, she has presented professional development sessions at regional and state conferences with an emphasis on library programs for adults. She is a member of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA), Indiana Black Librarian Network (IBLN), and on the ALA--Booklist Publications Advisory Board.
