Born in San Juan Puerto Rico, Omar Velez has been a member of the Puerto Rico's Astronomy Society since 1997 and Astronomer since 1995. He is a nature lover with a passion for telescopes and the night sky. For more than 20 years, he has dedicated himself to expand the knowledge about Astronomy and the Universe. He has one of the biggest meteorite collection in Puerto Rico. He is an enthusiast and promoter of the practice of Astronomy, and always available to help people to learn about the night sky.
