Yasmin Santiago was born and raised in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She studied at Interamerican University where she obtained a BS degree with a major in chemistry. She gained an MBA with a concentration in Project Management, which led her to develop educational material and programs at both grade school and college level. Part of her work is focused on encouraging women to pursue careers in STEM areas, hoping to close the gender gap. She is also working in the development of sustainability programs, in an effort to create awareness about the importance of Earth's resources.
