Jorge A. Saldana is a Retired United States Army Analyst, father, and citizen scientist. A Texas native, he was inspired at an early age by the great open night skies the state offers. At 14 years old, his parent’s further enabled his love of the cosmos to grow by attending NASA’s Space Camp in Florida. While attending Arlington High School in Arlington Texas, the University of Texas at Arlington hosted a Mars rover design contest which he won 2nd place at. This propelled Jorge to continue to personally research and educate others on space sciences and discoveries. In 2009 Jorge Saldana entered into active military service and has since served overseas in multiple locations. His ongoing studies include computer engineering, computer science, and various space sciences. Jorge Saldana currently resides in Washington State and is continuing formal education to better enable him to help others in STEM fields.
