Mitchell Cloud is a clinically licensed elementary school counselor with a passion for science, space, technology, and astronomy. He specializes in getting elementary age students excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, all while helping them form the social and life skills necessary for a successful career. The educational lessons, activities, and events he delivers through the Solar System Ambassador program will provide opportunities for students to experience how exciting, engaging, challenging, and, most importantly, attainable a STEM career can be. These opportunities will allow students to see themselves as future scientists, technicians, engineers, mathematicians, and astronauts. Mr. Cloud encourages students to discover, make mistakes, persevere, and demonstrate grit through interdisciplinary learning challenges. Students will simultaneously develop a passion for STEM learning and knowledge of STEM-related career opportunities, all while cultivating the soft skills (i.e. strong work ethic, communication skills, positive attitudes, problem-solving skills, self-confidence, teamwork abilities) necessary for successful employment throughout their lives.
